CLOE LAUREL MCKENZIE
MARKETING MANAGER, DROPSHIPZONE
Hi my name is Cloe and I’m currently the Marketing Manager at Dropshipzone. I have been with New Aim since 2020 and have progressed throughout the years with the company. My career at New Aim started in the Category team, where I was initially hired as a Marketing Assistant, as part of an internship program with RMIT. My role was initially contract based and I was responsible for a number of small administration tasks aimed at supporting the wider team.
Following 12 months of mentorship and learning, I was offered a permanent position as a Junior Marketing Specialist where I was responsible for a handful of small subcategories. After a few months of succeeding in this role I was then promoted to Marketing Specialist. In late 2021 I was promoted to Senior Marketing Specialist, reporting to the Category Lead and Head of Category at the time. I worked in this role for 6 months before being given the opportunity to transfer to a new team. New Aim and my managers supported my studies throughout my career at New Aim by allowing me to work flexible hours so I could take night classes. I completed my studies in 2022 and obtained my degree.
In mid 2022, I was given the opportunity to work under the management of John Barkle for what was initially the Brand team for New Aim. It was during this time my role expanded to a wider scope of marketing activities with a key focus on brand building, SEO and social media. Under the mentorship and supervision of John Barkle and Laura Daquino, I was able to undertake new tasks and learn new skills which would further help excel my career in Marketing.
In 2023 I was promoted to Marketing Campaign Manager, reporting to the Head Of Marketing of Dropshipzone, focusing on paid and organic campaigns for Dropshipzone and managing a small creative team. After 12 months, I progressed to my current role, Marketing Manager for Dropshipzone, reporting directly to the General Manager. In my current role I oversee and execute a number of different initiatives including project based, paid and organic initiatives which align with the wider Dropshipzone strategy. I am also responsible for managing and fostering the growth of a team of 5.
My extensive time at New Aim has allowed me to grow with the company as well as grow my knowledge base to excel my career. I have been fortunate enough to have had many great mentors who have helped me succeed in every stage of my career at New Aim.
JINGJING HUANG
SENIOR HR ADVISOR / GENERALIST, AU HR & ADMIN
I joined New Aim in 2018 as a Customer Service Representative
In 2018, I began my journey with New Aim as a Customer Service representative. After 1.5 years of dedication and growth in this role, I was promoted to the position of Customer Service Team Lead. At the time, the Customer Service team was split across China and Australia, consisting of approximately 20 people. In my new leadership role, I focused on coordinating efforts across both regions, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers.
Internal Transfer to Finance in 2022
In 2022, seeking new challenges and growth opportunities, I applied for an internal transfer to the Finance department. I took on the responsibilities of Payroll and Accounts Receivable. To prepare for this transition, I proactively enrolled in several courses to develop the necessary skills for my new responsibilities. While it took time to adjust and learn the financial processes, the team was incredibly supportive, making the learning process much smoother.
Exciting Move to HR in 2023
I have always had an interest in Human Resources, and in late 2023, I was thrilled to take on a role within the HR team. This new opportunity has allowed me to continue expanding my skill set and gain valuable experience in a field I am passionate about. I look forward to further growth within New Aim as I continue to develop in my HR role.
